The Rising Trout B&B

The Rotorua Rising Trout B&B is our lakeside home where a warm kiwi welcome awaits our guests to Rotorua. Our bed and breakfast is located on beautiful Lake Rotorua providing extremely comfortable accommodation at the top of the lake very close by world renowned trout fishing spot – the Ohau Channel. Serenity, birdlife and wonderful sunsets are features of this tranquil Rotorua lakeside place. Accommodation consist two well appointed guest rooms each with en suite, luxury bedding, glorious Rotorua lakeside views, tea/coffee making facilities plus all the usual comforts of home. These include access to very comfortable fireside and lakeside seating, an extensive home library and use of a laundry. You can also look forward on a warm summers evening to taking a rug and a glass of NZ wine and sit by the lakeside watching the lake change its amazing colours as the sun sets. A blissful way to end your Rotorua day.

We provide a complimentary happy hour each afternoon and of course a special breakfast. Close by attractions include lakeside trout fishing, lakeside golf, kayaking (just a few steps to waters edge) and white water rafting whilst many of Rotorua’s other famous attractions are but a short drive. These include the famous thermal area ‘Hells Gate’, stunning Hamurana Springs walkway and our equally beautiful neighbours – Lakes Rotoiti, Rotoma and Okataina. We can arrange for trout fishing and Rotorua cultural site guides as appropriate. Our Rotorua lakeside home is sulphur free.
Rotorua’s international airport is only a five minute drive with the CBD an easy 15 minutes.
We, and our family animals ‘Elsie’ our Scottish Terrier and Millie the cat, all look forward to your arrival.
